What is an NDIS Worker Screening Check?

The NDIS Worker Screening Check is a standardised national assessment for all support workers who work with people with disability.

You can apply for the check if you’re being employed to provide NDIS support or services. It’s not a mandatory requirement for those who provide services via Just 4 Care but some clients do prefer support workers to have a completed screening check. When searching for a support worker on Just 4 Care, clients can filter the results so they only include support workers with a completed screening check.

How to apply for an NDIS Worker Screening Check

NDIS Worker Screening Checks are conducted by the Worker Screening Unit in the state or territory where you are applying for one.

Please visit the NDIS Commission website, select your state or territory and follow the steps to start your application. Each state and territory has its own process.

Fees are set by each local agency.

How to link Just 4 Care to your NDIS Worker Screening Check

You link Just 4 Care to your NDIS Worker Screening Check by listing Just 4 Care as your employer/provider in your state or territory’s NDIS Worker Screening portal. Although you are an independent support worker and therefore self-employed, you can list Just 4 Care as your employer/provider for the purpose of the screening check only. To do this you will need the details below.

Employer/provider details:

Just 4 Care Pty Ltd
1 Olsen Place, Broadmeadows VIC 3047

Once you have linked to Just 4 Care in the portal, go and log in to your Just 4 Care account (on desktop) and follow these steps:

  1. Select Edit profile from the top of the left-hand menu
  2. Select NDIS Worker Screening under Additional Details
  3. Select Yes beneath the question Are you planning to apply for a new check or link your existing check to Just 4 Care?
  4. Save your answer.

After you’ve completed these steps, you don’t have to do anything else. Our team will verify your NDIS Worker Screening Check, after which it will appear on your Just 4 Care profile.

Please allow the team up to three business days to verify your screening request after applying.

What if I have an existing NDIS Worker Screening Check?

If you have an existing NDIS Worker Screening Check you can link it to Just 4 Care.

Log in to your state’s screening unit portal and enter Just 4 Care’s employer/provider details:
